The German version of the Fox series channel will become available to Premiere Film subscribers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland from October 4. A distribution contract was signed yesterday, said the German pay TV operator. The channel will also be available in Premiere hotels from October 4.
Fox broadcasts series such as Lost, Entourage, The Wire and Spooks without commercial breaks and with both the German language and the original English version. Unitymedia was the first operator to start distributing the German Fox channel earlier this year.
Hans Seger, chief programme and technology officer at Premiere, said in a prepared statement: The start of the internationally successful series channel Fox marks a new phase in Premieres quality campaign. We will be offering even more high-quality and popular series to our subscribers at no additional cost.
David Haslingden, CEO Fox International Channels, added: With the launch of Fox we have opened up a new chapter in the German pay-TV market: a channel that will bring first run international TV series to the German audience delivered with the edge, energy and style Fox has become renowned for around the world.
