MTV France, part of the CanalSatellite bouquet, has confirmed that it will launch its HDTV service for French viewers on November 6th to coincide with the live broadcast of the MTV awards.
MTV, which will be the first music channel to create an HD channel, will start transmissions with around 250 hours of HD native programming. MTV will also include a two hour block of shows in HDTV from Nickelodeon every weekend.
