SatLink is to take charge of the Amos 5 satellite, having been appointed by operator Spacecom as the prime provider of satellite engineering services including Telemetry Tracking & Commanding and In Orbit Testing.
The operations, including a Master Control Room, will be handled from Satlinks facilities in Jerusalem.
We are proud to closely collaborate with Spacecom for the Amos-5s operations following its launch and forward over its lifetime as it operates over Africa and we look forward to offering our customers delivery to Africa over this satellite, remarked David Hochner, CEO of SatLink Communications.
SatLink already provides facilities for SES World Skies, SES Astra, AsiaSat and other craft in the Amos fleet.
Amos-5 is scheduled to launch later this year to the 17 degrees East orbital position from where it will deliver high-power C-band and Ku-band capacity to the entire African continent with connectivity to Europe and the Middle East.
