The leading Polish DTH platform Cyfrowy Polsat has signed a new licence agreement with HBO Polska.
Replacing a previous agreement that expired on February 28 this year and oral agreement that has since been in its place, it allows the platform to distribute the channels HBO, HBO HD, HBO2, HBO Comedy, HBO2 HD and HBO Comedy HD, as part of a bundle and on an a la carte basis, for a period of three years.
Under the terms of the agreement, Cyfrowy Polsat will pay HBO Polska a monthly licence fee for each subscriber who is authorised to and/or charged by the platform to receive at least one of the channels.
Cyfrowy Polsat has reached a number of agreements on an arms length basis with Time Warner companies, including HBO Polska, over the past 12 months.
They may exceed 10% of the companys revenues for the last four quarters.
