Magyar Telekom has signed a long-term agreement with Spacecom securing it more bandwidth for its DTH platform T-Home Sat TV.
The deal is worth $7 million (5.13 million) and T-Home Sat TVs total expansion with Amos in 2011 is valued at nearly $14 million.
T-Home Sat TV currently distributes around 100 channels, four of which are in HD, and has around 260,000 subscribers, equivalent to approximately 30% of the Hungarian DTH market.
The additional capacity will allow it to add more channels and programme packages to its offer.
Spacecoms Amos at 4 degrees West has three CEE DTH clients T-Home Sat TV, Slovakias Magio TV and the soon-to-be-launched Xtra TV in Ukraine.
Its fourth is the DTH platform Yes in Israel.
